Selkirk Resort Homes, Golden BC

The award-winning Selkirk Resort Homes are located at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort near Golden, British Columbia. Building designs at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort are governed in part by architectural design guidelines (developed by Oberti Resort Design) that form part of the Master Plan. The guidelines encourage a North American National Parks heritage style that includes the use of natural materials such as wood and stone.

As one of the first townhomes developments at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, and given its high visibility in the core of the resort, it was important to ensure that this development set the tone for future buildings. The use of natural materials throughout both the interior and exterior creates the cozy atmosphere one seeks of a resort vacation home in the mountains.  The homes showcase Canada’s, and in particular, British Columbia’s tradition of using wood as one of the main construction materials for structure, architectural expression and interior design.
