Village of Valemount CBD Beautification

Redesign and beautification of Village of Valemount’s main business corridor. The existing Fifth Avenue streetscape and traffic and parking patterns were reviewed to determine how best to modify them to create a more pedestrian friendly environment.  Previous redevelopment schemes and expressions of the village’s vision for the area were reviewed and meetings were held with the residents of Valemount as a whole, with the Chamber of Commerce and with the affected land and store owners to get their input into the design concept.  The final design concept addressed beautification, drive aisle alignment, street parking, medians where desirable for aesthetic and traffic control considerations and sidewalk surface treatments and widths.
