Whiskey Jack Golf Resort | Oberti Resort Design

Whiskey Jack Golf Resort

Whiskey Jack Resort and Golf Community is a quality semi-urban community located within boundaries of the District of Sparwood in British Columbia.  Sparwood lies nestled in the heart of the Elk Valley and is surrounded by Canada’s most stunning mountain scenery; the Kootenay Rockies. The 675-acre resort community features a signature golf course designed by golfing legend Fred Couples and his design partner Gene Bates and has a panoramic view of the Continental Divide and other natural splendours. The resort also features a luxury spa and pool as well as 15 kilometers of trails for cross-country skiing in the winter or hiking and biking in the summer.

The design intent for the project was to create a coherent development for a master planned golf resort founded on authentic mountain architecture and based on a true expression of function and structure as well as the use of natural materials. The resulting rustic design is in tune with the history of the area. It is visibly and environmentally sustainable.
